Alivia celebrated her 8th birthday on June 19th with a few friends at the house. She has been intrigued by the Asian culture for awhile now so when I mentioned if she'd like to have a Chinese Tea Party for her birthday, she was onboard! The girls were given Chinese chengsoam dresses (along with their invitations) to wear to the party. They enjoyed sweet and sour chicken, wonton soup, and egg rolls for dinner with cupcakes for dessert! The girls also received chopsticks to eat dinner with and enjoyed some green tea. After gifts were opened the girls departed with fortune cookies dipped in pink chocolate and sprinkles to take home in chinese take-out boxes! A great time was had by all!

The Beginning
Hello everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the summer with friends and family :) The last weekend of June we spend in Uniontown, Pennsylvania celebrating the wedding of my niece Rachel to Brandon Katzeff (my new nephew-in-law! YAH!!). The wedding was beautiful and the bride was stunning (I may be a little prejudiced since she's my niece, LOL!) I wish Rachel and Brandon a lifetime of wedded bliss and joy :)

Carnival Birthday Party Favors
These are the favor bags the kids all carried around Chase & Cole's birthday party to hold their prizes from the games they played. The bags were also filled with stickers and a foam clown nose for the photo booth :) The bags were specially made from a very nice woman named Sandy Mickle. If you ever have a need for cute gift totes or favors, look her shop up on Etsy.com (Hugs and Holidays). You won't be sorry!

Chinese Tea Party Favor
Here are one of the favors the girls will be taking home with them on Sunday. I took fortune cookies and dipped them in pink chocolate melting wafers (which I purchased at Michael's) and then dropped pink sprinkles on the chocolate. The tag reads 'Thank You' in Chinese. Stay tuned for more goodies!...

Preview!
Here are just a few decorations I will be using for Alivia's upcoming 8th Birthday Chinese Tea Party on Sunday. I'll post a few more pictures of the invitations and favors as I get them finished. The girls are all wearing cheongsam dresses we purchased while in Chinatown during our visit to San Francisco this past Spring. Should make for some great photo ops with the girls :)

Whew!
Hello Everyone! I have not been a good blogger as of late! The end of the year has taken it's toll on me yet again (I'm recovering from allergies, a cold, meeting after meeting and mounds of paperwork). We also just had the twins' 4th birthday party today and I hope to post pictures tomorrow or Monday of all the fun! It was a great time with family and friends :) Until then...
